Short Bio:
Rejoice is a science communicator and researcher. She loves to explore sustainable pathways to deliver engineering solutions to community-based problems within the areas of her interest.
Rejoice brought her expertise in leadership, community engagement and management to support Alma Mater Education’s mission. She served as the Project Director for this charity organization which is head quartered in London.
As an enthusiast of clean energy, especially cooking technologies, Rejoice advocates for a world where everyone, have access to clean and affordable energy, and climate change is no longer a threat to all ecosystems. She does this through research and advocacy.
Her research examines the interlinkages between clean energy access, environmental governance, and climate change. She advocates for gender transformation in energy issues. Rejoice is very emphatic about the fact that because women understand their problems better, they are the best people to provide solutions. As a result, Ing. Ossei-Bremang leaves the confines of the classroom and laboratories on a regular basis to educate women, especially rural women within small-scale food processing enterprises about the importance of MECS and its role in the overall energy transition.
Her desire to deliver clean energy solutions to the deprived at the grassroots level has received several international and local recognition. This includes her recent Award at the CLEAN COOKING FORUM 2022. She was named Winner for the Policy, Advocacy and Research category.
She believes that girls and women have a great potential to contribute their talents and expertise towards sustainable future. Therefore, she volunteers with UNESCO and WomEng as an ambassador for 1milliongirlsinSTEM global Initiative to empower young girls within STEM education and career. She also serves as the vice Chairperson for STEM and Engineering education for the Ghana Institution of Engineering within the Central, Western and Western North Regions of Ghana.
Rejoice is a professional engineer at the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) and a member of The International Finance Corporation’s Women in Renewable Energy in Africa Network (W-REA). She is also a member of the Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (WiSTEM), Ghana, and Internal Association of Engineers (IAENG)
